The queen of Wimbledon is on the hunt for some hardcourt glory this summer, and she's off to a great start having dispatched Frenchwoman Virginie Razzano in straights in San Diego. So what if she made 41 errors in the process? That's just a typical day at the office for Venus Williams. Most encouragingly, Venus has elected to reprise her ultra-sleek white tank and mini-shorts look from Wimbledon. Williams-watchers will recall that after fussing with her skirt in the first two shaky rounds at The Championships, she pared her outfit down to shorts for the rest of the tournament (which she won for the fourth time, for anyone reading this in a Tibetan cave). Kudos to Venus for sticking with what works in the fashion department.

FInally, another woman tennis player willing to wear shorts. Martina Navratilova has always looked so great and played so well in her shorts. Hurrah for Venus for joining her and looking fabulous!
